About Me

Hello! I’m Heather Rosenblatt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in the state of Colorado. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver in Colorado and my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of Florida. After several years working as a preschool teacher, practicing from a trauma informed lens, I knew in my heart that supporting children, adolescents, and young adults was my passion. I completed my second year social work therapy internship at Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Eating Disorder Unit working with adolescents, young adults, and their families to treat eating disorders, anxiety, depression, body image, OCD, and trauma.

I worked nearly 3 years for Eating Recovery Center in their Child and Adolescent Program as a Primary Therapist II. I have supported many different family systems through the years providing care through the lens of Family-Based Treatment (FBT or Maudsley), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, I have provided 1:1 supervision to LCSW Candidates aspiring to obtain licensure.

As someone who is deeply passionate about family support, I continue to expand my toolbox to provide care for the full family system.

When I’m not working, you can find me with my daughter, husband, and three-year-old golden retriever on a mountain or in a park enjoying the fresh air and nature that Colorado has to offer!

Therapeutic Approach

I believe that therapy is your opportunity to discover and uncover the best things about yourself, while facing the things that feel like they're getting in the way. I’d like to think of myself as your guide through self-compassion, acceptance, and a better relationship with your body. I support individuals and their families who feel suffocated by their inner critic, anxiety, overwhelm, poor body image, depression, doubt, and fear. Through the use of IFS, ACT, CBT, DBT, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and deep self-compassion work, I support adolescents and young adults in becoming their truest, most authentic selves. I firmly believe that with the right coping skills and support, we can make more room for love, connectedness, and vulnerability to access your wisdom and power from within.

Individual Eating Disorder Therapy

Having been trained in the treatment of Eating Disorders, including Anorexia, Bulimia, ARFID, and OSFED, I can help guide you away from the tight hold of the illness and support you with cultivating a more positive relationship with your body. Additionally, we build your toolbox to cope with the distress as well as the interaction with dual diagnoses. I will also work alongside any other team members to collaborate and provide well-rounded and thoughtful care.

Family Therapy and Caregiver Support

Witnessing a loved one go through recovery can often feel excruciating and leave one feeling helpless. Caregivers are essential to support a thriving individual through their own recovery. With therapeutic support and skill development, we can work to provide you and your loved one with the support they need.
